There have been some fun and sad moments after a couple days in Sochi. We saw Shaun White, a snowboarder, end his Winter Olympic streak for Gold medals in the half pipe event. Shaun White almost got a medal, not gold, but a medal. He placed 4th in the event. In that event, a Switzerland snowboarder, Iouri Podladtchikov, won gold. Shaun White recently dropped out of the slope style event to focus more on the half pipe event. Down below I've provided some links about the Olympics.
On Sunday night, New Jersey hosted Super Bowl 48. The Seahawks and the Broncos clashed in the big game. Well....... they didn't really "clash." It was more like a "breeze" for the Seahawks. The Seahawks won in an easy fashion, beating the Broncos by a score of 43-8. It was a record-setting night though, for BOTH teams in that category. The Seahawks set a record for quickest score in a Super Bowl. It only took 12 seconds for the Seahawks to score on a snap over Peyton Manning's head for a safety. Peyton Manning also set the completions record in a Super Bowl with 34 completions. Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas also set the record for receptions with 13. The Super Bowl also set the record for TV viewers with about 111.5 million people in the U.S. Another Super Bowl come and gone, but what did you think? If you would like, answer some of the questions below: What did you eat as your Super Bowl meal? Who were you rooting for? Who did you think would win? Who did you spend watching the Super Bowl with? Where were you for the Super Bowl? Were you surprised about the outcome? What do think about Peyton Manning's legacy? Will one of the Seahawks youngsters become a future star?
